As PI of the INMED: NEUROscience project, Sarah was invited to attend the NINDS Strengthening a Neural Network R25/T32 Diversity Workshop in Bethesda, MD. At this workshop, Sarah learned from leaders about diversity in biomedical science and how to work to overcome barriers that women and underrepresented minorities face in academia.
Sarah had a little downtime to take a stroll around the NIH campus and check out a few of the sights.
