The On-Campus Program

June 3 - July 12, 2019

The on-campus portion of INMED: NEUROscience had our Teachers in neuroscience-focused biomedical science research labs. They were working alongside researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students conducting authentic biomedical research.

Although we were unable to take pictures in the lab, we had the teachers build a model of the labs to explain the types of things they did.

We were fortunate to get to tour other research facilities we have on the University of North Dakota, including the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center.

Some of the on campus time was dedicated to pedagogy training, with a focus on lesson planning using backward design (UbD).

To practice our new pedagogical skills, we collaborated with the INMED Summer Institute program and led a few lab sessions.
